Layer Drawing

This is the final product of my layer-by-layer drawing.

Shading II

Some more on shading, a little bit more in depth.

Erase Drawing

Progress of the take-away drawing.

Shading

Here is the progress and final product of my shading project.

Linear Perspective

I used this piece to sort of demonstrate linear perspective, which is something that I really need to work on. I struggle with the concept, and need much more practice. I am not pleased with how this image turned out.

Hatching an Egg

Here are the pictures of the egg I shaded.

I like the second image much better than the first one.

Contour Drawing

This piece is a contour drawing of some things I found at my house. There is no shading and the lines are crisp and definite. The marks are clear and sharp, and there is no shading. Contour drawings are all about the specific details.

Angle Transferring, Plumb Lines and Comparative Measuring

I completed this drawing through using sight devices. I used comparative measuring to help figure out the still life's proportions. I dropped down the angles to get the shape of the boxes right.

Master Copy

This is the master copy of the still life.

This is my gesture, it's very difficult to see.

I made a mistake by not including the knives on the right hand side, but I would pay for that later.

A little more detailed.

This is my final work, as you can see, I waited too long to draw in the knives and my proportions are somewhat off. But, I'm learning.

These are from roughly 30 minute intervals.

I was covered in charcoal by the time I finished this drawing, my roommate just had to capture the moment.

Gesture Drawing

This is my tv and microwave. It is on my refrigerator, so that makes it roughly eye level when I sit on my bed.

This is my roommate's shelf. I went way too detailed with it, and I really have a hard time with making light marks.

This Is my roommate, Joanna. She was studying next to me, and I am not happy with the way this turned out at all.
